March 13th, 2010 in Portable Vehicle GPS Articles | Comments Off

You may have seen the scene. You may also have been a part of it myself. Scene of a mad man or a woman, or even a couple or a family drive around with a map, searching for a couple of streets in a company town, with a strip cars are late with their drivers pumping the horns and flashing their indignation. These poor people are lost, has not yet discovered the wonderful innovation that has made them a rapid disappearance of the mark of the Movementdinosaurs.

There are many who say the world is a better place to live There are others who will disagree. As there can be no doubt that technological advances of the last twenty years has meant that the planet we live on, to a much smaller and easier to navigate.

One of the major advances in the digital age we live in what is known as the Global Positioning System (GPS) have contributed to the efforts of our lives easier and safer in waysmost are largely known. Not only in case of bad individual is born without a sense of direction of the major carriers, operating a fleet of hundreds of trucks and vans that travel the roads nations can have all day and night, seven days a week throughout the year .

So what is the GPS system is that makes our lives easier and better? GPS system uses a series of personalized information derived from a constellation of 24Earth orbiting satellites, developed and implemented by the U.S. Department of Defense. Data from these satellites, solar energy, which are collected and to work together in a lattice constant, satellites provide a very precise grid of the whole earth's surface.

All vehicles equipped with a GPS transmitter, can receive a signal shape of three of the twenty four satellites of the system. These signals are translated into information that essentially come to a mini –computer-driven receiver installed on board the vehicle. In the simplest form, the administrator can be updated with their current position, and how to navigate its entire route, from the point.

The surprising thing is that GPS is not a new technology. It was about the last 25 years or so. For the first decade that was in use, the U. S. Department of Defense has the exclusive right to use, keep a record of its military vehicles around the world. They alsoleverages the power of GPS technology to transfer all its vast fleet of ships to monitor the world's largest air carrier. When all the points covered, he made the Defense Department S phase of the technology available to the public.

At first the cost of built-in receivers have the technology outside the financial understanding of individuals longer, and the GPS system is the only major trucking companies. OneThe main advantages of these companies in the GPS has been their ability, for the first time in tracing the exact location of their trucks, and especially to stop their leaders to go "off course" overnight.

Today, because of greater public awareness of how technology can improve GPS navigation capabilities, this project is a must for most drivers. Improvements in technology have been made available to everyone, even the most modestFamily sedan is now fitted as standard.
